Evangelion Mafex Awakening quick review
I recently picked up this figure on ebay. The price was a little steep, but it's really the best figure of Unit 01 from the end of Evangelion 2.0 that's been made. So I figured I would grab it before it's impossible to find.
Mafex makes some very nicely detailed Eva figures, but I find their articulation to be very loose. They basically need the stand to stay standing up.
I also have Unit 13 from Mafex, and it's an incredible looking figure. It has the same problems of needing it's stand. In general I prefer Bandai Robot Spirits, but they haven't re-released their awakening Unit 01. It's very expensive now!
